Made by a pilot for pilots, the Cross Country Throttle Grip with PTT is manufactured in the USA by Swearingen 3D works of Marion IA., packaged in the USA and distributed by the designer. Everything you order is prepared just for you, only after you order. Upon order, your configuration options are checked and incorporated, final assembly completed, and continuity checks performed to assure the value and performance I have designed for you.

The throttle grip was originally custom designed and manufactured for a VANs RV-4 owner (with an RV-8 deluxe throttle quadrant) for the purpose of providing an overlay to the existing one (1) inch throttle handle and with all the switches and system wiring required to provide PTT, Smoke and Pyrotechnics. It is now available to the experimental public using the same parent “air foil” design with an installed, fully wired, and operational PTT switch. 

The throttle grip consists of a 4.4 inch 3D printed universal throttle overlay, ergonomically shaped to comfortably rest within the left hand, incorporating palm and finger cutouts. It incorporates prominent inboard and outboard fences to prevent hand slippage off the throttle in a high G or inverted environment. The grip is sized to adequately clear the prop lever and handle, still retaining the throttle ergonomics of the original VANs deluxe RV8/8A three lever throttle. The push-to-talk (PTT switch) is contained within the inboard fence of the grip, and is activated by the pad of the left-hand thumb.

This is a throttle grip that provides an interface fit by slipping over your existing CT-83F Deluxe or CT-84F Deluxe throttle quadrant or similar with a 1 inch diameter. It comes complete with a functionally tested and wired PTT momentary ON-OFF switch. (RV-8 Deluxe Throttle quadrant shown in pictures, not included in sale)

• The "Cross Country" control grip, made from tough ecologically friendly, 3D printer PLA, is sculptured to fit the left hand and contains an inboard and outboard slip guard slip guard. 

• Anti-Rotation Cutout embodied within the outboard portion of the overlay to prevent rotation of the grip on the stock throttle body.

• Throttle Stake added to allow mechanical fastening of overlay to throttle structure to prevent inboard overlay movement on internal throttle structure. Mechanical fastener is provided.

• Finish: High Resolution 3D Print finish Optional: Military Flat Finish over urethane ( Not advertised but to be discussed at point of sale)

•  Throttle Grip contains a push-to-talk (PTT) switch, rated as follows:
