The Cross Country Grip was originally custom designed and manufactured for the purpose of providing a system of throttle grip electronics for PTT, SMOKE and Pyrotechnics. Pared down,the basic Cross Country Grip is an overlayred to slip over the existing one (1) inch throttle handle of the CT-83F Deluxe or CT-84F Deluxe throttle quadrant. Provided as a basic grip for cross country flying, it is now available to the experimental public using the same parent “air foil” design.

The Throttle grip consists of a 4.4 inch 3D printed universal throttle overlay, ergonomically shaped to comfortably rest within the left hand, incorporating ergonomic palm and finger cutouts.. It incorporates inboard and outboard fences to prevent hand slippage off the throttle in a high G environment. The grip is sized to adequately clear the PROP lever and handle, still retaining the throttle ergonomics of the original VANs deluxe RV8/8A three lever throttle.

This is a throttle grip that provides an interface fit by slipping over your existing RV-8/8A deluxe two or three lever throttle or similar with a 1 inch diameter tube.

• Throttle Grip stake added to allow mechanical fastening to the overlay to the throttle structure to prevent inboard overlay movement on the internal throttle structure.
